Mobilizing Communities to Prevent Domestic Violence: A Resource Guide for Organizations

Though stated to be for East and Southern Africa this Resource is applicable as is to any community. The Resource Guide is a tool for community-based organizations working to prevent domestic violence and is written in clear and practical language with a user-friendly format. It describes a five-phased process of community mobilization that uses five key strategies and a variety of participatory activities to help[ organizations develop and implement a domestic violence project in their communities.

Rethinking Domestic Violence: A Training Process for Community Activists

The training Process is a tool for community-activists to help them strengthen capacity of community members to prevent domestic violence. More than 25 two-hour, participatory modules suggest a process of learning that includes: a) becoming aware of gender and rights; b) deepening understanding of domestic violence; c) developing skills and personal qualities; and, d) taking action to prevent domestic violence.
